Cookies And Milk

I couldn't stop munching and dunking Oreo cookies in a glass of milk. I knew it was a bad idea to buy it in the first place, but the sweet temptation was too hard to resist. I know the guilt will hit me later, but the taste of chocolate cookies softened with fresh milk is gosh-darn-it heavenly. It's a wonderful stress reliever.

It was a lazy weekend. I spent most of my time reading a couple of books, cooking spaghetti, and relaxing at my balcony. I savored the sun's warmth and indulged in inhaling my neighbor's sweet, spicy and tangy barbecue cooking. It finally hit me that spring is truly here, and I am so thrilled. Yesterday, we were in the 50s, and today we were in the 60s. Goodness knows that after a few months of snow and chilly temperatures, winter can sap your energy and bore you to death. But winter can be endured and survived, so that when spring finally arrives, you can appreciate and rejoice the season of rebirth. Although, I am begging spring to stay longer because it is my favorite time of the year.

Tomorrow, I'll be seeing "Peter Grimes." I'm excited.

  1. That combo is really an effective stress reliever. I expect you'll be taking photos of plenty of flowers and trees this spring... and of course, to share with us. =) Enjoy the season, Kayni!

  5. Hi Kayni, OREO is heaven! :) But instead of dunking it with milk (i never got to drink regularly that's why), I dip it on ice cream!

  8. when it's your favorite time of the year, it flies fast. but when you really hate the time, it walks slowly. at least you always have spring to look forward to. it's happier because of winter. here in the Philippines, i'm happy whenever it's not burning hot. :)

Wil, I actually live close to Whole Foods, but it's an expensive place to shop. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm quite interested to know how a vegan choc chip cookie taste like.

Lene, I love the idea of pairing Oreo cookies with ice cream. I might try that next time.

Angeli, I hope you did pick up some cookies this time =).

Sheng, I don't do the twist, lick and dunk. I just dunk the whole thing =), fingers included...lol.

Mordsith, Exactly what I was thinking, spring will probably go by too fast. I'll just enjoy these really perfect days for now, then complain when the humidity hits in the summer...lol.

Kg, I agree. Plain cookie is another way to enjoy it. =)
