Weekend Plans

I'm thankful it is Friday, for it's been a trying week at work. Unexpectedly, I was handed more work responsibilities with no notice at all (a colleague decided to leave). Although I cringe at the idea of having additional work load on my plate, I am grateful that my department is entrusting me more responsibilities. I suppose my time management and ability to learn new skills will be tested. What makes me nervous is that, I have only a week left to learn everything. I am hoping I'll be equipped with all the skills I need in just a short time. I honestly feel like a newly hired employee being trained for a new job.

This weekend, I intend to unwind and try not to think about work stuff. I already told one of my friends that I want to go shopping (maybe I'll end up finding the best DC shoes out there). I rarely use shopping as a stress reliever, but since I need a few things for the summer, this might be a good time to just go out, window shop and hang-out at the mall. My quest to overhaul my wardrobe is still an on-going project.

What are your weekend plans? I wish everyone a stress free and relaxing weekend.

To my birth country,

I pray that these last two days before the national election be utilized in finalizing your choices for our country's next leaders. May your decisions be divinely guided and I hope that whosoever gets the people's vote will inspire hope and courage for our Philippines.

Go out and vote.
Make your voice count.

  1. I have a wedding to go to on Sat. Take mom out to lunch on Sun. (Mom's day).

I just got a call from hubs asking if I'd like to come crabbing early Sun morning in SF.

I don't see any rest time, but I'll manage to hold on until next weekend :)

  7. You'll cope up, no worries =)
You'll have about the next three weeks of them not expecting much since you are new in handling the responsibility. It could be stressful but challenging and fulfilling as well (hmmm, that's from someone who keeps changing companies/ jobs, eerrr me! =) )

Have a great weekend too, and hugs to your great mom this mother's day =)
