My Ensaimada
Good morning, Thursday :).
This ensaimada has brought me smile and contentment today. I have been craving for this pastry for so long. While dining at the Filipino restaurant last night, I saw a bunch of them at the counter and immediately bought one (How I wish I bought two.). I thought I could bring it to work for breakfast.
For the life of me, I spent the whole night tossing and turning thinking about the pastry. I wanted to devour it right there and then, but since I've already decided to have it for breakfast, I had to be patient.
Anyway, the ensaimada is gone to the last cheese, butter and sugar. I'm wondering when will I have one again.

waaaaaaaaah! do you know that i've been craving for ensaimada for days now. huhuhu! lucky you!
ReplyDelete@ Kate, I've been craving for months. It's tough to find fresh made ones here. I hope you'll get some ensaimada soon.
ReplyDeleteoops! Months trumps days :D I haven't been out much so no chance to buy the really good ones. They sell some in the convenience store downstairs though but it's the sad type... tough bread and with star margarine :(
ReplyDeleteweeeee, I'm glad you've settled your ensaimada craving =)
ReplyDeleteAng hirap ng mag-crave. I just had my share just awhile back. It's 11:30pm and I asked my husband to drive me over at Marriot because I wanted the same tiramisu which our friend brought over last week...
i love ensyamada. i eat one often kasi our canteen laways has some. gusto ko yung may cream at maraming cheese! yum!
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy! I will have to try that sometime! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend,
Candace
Have you tried the crispy ensaimada? I have been scouting for it. Super yummy. The first and last time I had it was during the Kapampangan tour in 2008.
ReplyDeletenakuuuu, I haven't eaten ensaymada for about a year. isip tuloy ako saan ako makabili =)
ReplyDeleteEnsaimada is one of my faves but funnily I haven't had one since I got home. Now that reminds me, I have to buy ensaimada before I leave Manila. Who knows when I get to eat it again =)
ReplyDeleteI love ensaymadas too. I want the plaine one lang, yung lots of cheese and butter. Meron na kasing, with ham and other varieties...yung mas simple mas masarap for me :)
ReplyDeleteOh I haven't had an ensaymada since the last I was in the Philippines.
ReplyDeletemy cousins and i would always buy ensaymada for our picnics, like before climbing the nearest mountain to our house in la trinidad or simply strolling at the back of bsu, because it was so big for its price. sulit.. and of course, delicious as always... we can also buy it "hot" or fresh from the oven
