Travel: Barcelona

If you talk Barcelona, you talk architecture. I really enjoyed Barcelona and I was amazed at how stunning and fun this city is.

The Gaudi Dragon Fountain

Mosaic ceiling at Park Guell

Walk this way and tilted walking not allowed.

Entrance to Park Guell

This is one of the buildings you'll see at the park entrance.

What a strange looking window - Casa Batllo

My favorite Guadi designed house, Casa Batllo, located at the Illa de la Discordia (Block of Discord)

A closer look at the Sagrada Familia Temple entrance

The highlight of my trip, the Sagrada Familia Temple - another design by Gaudi.

  3. I'm always in awe whenever I see Sagrada Familia photos. I hope I'd get to visit someday. Casa Batllo, I agree, has weird and one-of-a-kind windows. What do you call the third photo? I'm intrigued.

  8. lucky you. i wish i could go there, too. spanish architecture is an interesting blend of styles, mostky dominated by western and moorish influences. and they have so many old structures there. do they have bullfights there?

  11. I was enormously impressed with the place too. Gaudí was an architect genius. Pity he was such a right-wing extremist catholic too.

Visiting Barcelona should be compulsory for everyone. It is a magical place.
