Kepi and I went for a short hike this weekend to the western mountains of Maryland. There were several people at the state park. I guess most people were thinking what we're thinking - get some fresh air. It's June but it felt chilly up in the mountains.
It poured in the middle of our hike.
There's something soothing about hiking in the rain.
This is my entry for My Corner of the World and Our World Tuesday.
Looks refreshing and peaceful
ReplyDeleteI agree. It felt refreshing to feel the rain.
DeleteDearest Kayni! I love the Rain so so much! We had so much last week and I pray that we also get it soon again just not the typhoon types of course. Thank you for taking us to such a lush and cool forest trail! Happy new Week Dearest Kayni! Ingat palagi!
ReplyDeleteMe too, I love rain. I look forward to downpours from time to time. Parang nakaka ginhawa kasi kapag lumamig ang hangin.
DeleteSalamat sa pagbisita. Ingat lagi.
ReplyDeleteCool photo.
There is a lot of rain here in Europe too. Quite too much :(
We've been getting some rain almost weekly here. I do hope you'll get some balance with more sun soon.
DeleteHello, we have done a lot of hikes in Maryland. The state parks are nice. Great shot of the boardwalk trail. Enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteHi there. We've done a few hikes, but this weekend trip is something we've done for the first time this year. It felt so good to be outside.
DeleteGreat shot, nicely composed photo. Sometimes rain can be so refreshing when hiking, I love the smell of the rain. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteReminds me of the bridges in our hometown of Powell River in BC. We have a group called the BOMB Squad (Bloody Old Men's Brigade). It started with all men, and remains that way, who used to work in our paper mill. They volunteer and build hiking trails and bridges in our backcountry. - Margy
ReplyDeleteNice photo, Kayni. Have a good week ahead! #MyCornerofWorld
ReplyDeleteThank you, Natalie.
DeleteBut still good to get outside, right? Love those rainy days.
ReplyDeleteI agree. It's so good to be outside and best of all, among tall, majestic trees.
DeleteI can feel the cool air - it kind of gets in your bones
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, when the rain started pouring, I could feel so much coolness and relief.
DeleteA nice, atmospheric photo with reflections in the puddle. I know how refreshing to walk in the rain, breathing in the smell of earth and leaves.
ReplyDeleteYoko
I agree with you Yoko. There's something so refreshing about a cool rain.
DeleteI never minded the rain, especially here in New Zealand where it rarely 'really' rains with big drops, just mostly drizzle.
ReplyDeleteNo matter the weather, it's good to be outside.
It's awesome to see you at 'My Corner of the World' this week! Thanks for linking up.
Despite the rain, this sight is pretty inviting.
