Since we missed the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin this year, the lovely blooms in the neighborhood surely made up for it. A couple of weekends ago, we drove around our neighborhood and to the next town. We saw lovely blooming trees.
Can someone help me with the name of these lovely trees? They have beautiful white cluster flowers and they bloom first before the Cherry Blossoms. |
I love this road. |
Cherry Blossoms at peak bloom. |
It's been a tough spring for all of us. There's been sickness, death, job loss, mourning, tiredness and more. Whatever we're going through, I do pray we'll find the strength and perseverance to get through another day.
It is my hope that when we finally get to the other side, we'll emerge as kinder, more accepting, stronger and united citizens of the world. After all, this is not a one man or one nation war, this is a fight that humanity must endure and win.
How beautiful all the blossoms are. I think everyone is searching for beauty during these troubled times. Stay safe and well.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I've been trying to look for something positive in the midst of this challenging time. Stay well.
DeleteSo beautiful. It's been my dream to visit DC in spring when the cherry trees are in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteCome visit us when this COVID-19 is gone. It would be nice to have coffee or lunch with you guys.
DeleteWE have an American Airlines voucher from a trip that got canceled this month, we need to use it by August, so we're looking for a destination right now.
DeleteWow such a lovely neighborhood you live in. If I lived there, I would walk daily but alas in my neck of the woods, no cherry blossoms just tambays hehehe
ReplyDeleteThe blooming trees are a great addition to my walks. I'm trying to walk more kasi I've been eating more with this stay at home working...lol.
DeleteThank you for sharing such beauty, it certainly takes our minds of the current situation in this surreal world of ours.
ReplyDeleteI want to say the white blossomed trees are Bradford Pear trees, but not sure.
Stay well and safe.
Hugs,
~Jo
