Waiting For The Train

This morning, I took this photo while waiting for the train to work.

The photo looks calm and snowy; we got about an inch or two of snow dusting last night.  What you don't see is the cold, frustrated crowd waiting for the train. You see, we were offloaded at this station due to some technical difficulties, and my usual 45-minute commute became a two-hour ordeal.

I know the new manager of DC Metro is making some changes, but DC Metro delays are frustrating  especially when you're running an hour late to work.

Linking with Skywatch today.

  1. The difference in weather between the East and West coasts is so striking. While we are currently wet and expecting a storm over the weekend, February and early March so far has been dry and the flowering trees have already sprouted their beautiful flowers. Aside from the rain, it feels like we're headed into summer. Hope spring comes very soon to your part of the world.

  2. Hopefully DC Metro gets their act together soon. A chilly & unex[ected wait is not a great way to start the day. I did make for a lovely Wintery photo though, thanks for making the best of it and sharing!

  6. It's a beautiful sight but the changes sucks. It must be so cold, I would freeze to death if I'm there, I'm just used to the El Nino hotness of our beloved PH.

  7. I can only imagine how frustrating it must have felt to be so late for work. I hate it when that happens.

  9. How about taking a trip via MRT or LRT. Sucks worse than your train does, and it's not even a polished one.

    1. Hi Sheng, I've only taken the LRT once. I didn't like it.
