The Inn At Kitchen Kettle Village

I usually cover Hershey, PA very well, so I'll start with where we stayed at Intercourse, PA. The picturesque town of Intercourse is surrounded by beautiful Amish farms and homes. Most of all, I love the town's abundance of specialty shops; they sell all sorts of handcrafted Amish products to homemade jams and pickles. For our overnight stay, we chose to stay at the The Inn which is in the Kitchen Kettle Village. The decision to visit Intercourse was out of a whim and curiosity. We made our reservations online the night before our road trip, and I'm so glad we did.

The room at The Inn really made us feel at home. It was very clean, well organized and the location is perfect. Our room was definitely a home away from home. It's location is superb as it is in the middle of shops, cafes, and restaurants, but since everything closes at 6 PM, we were not deprived of a quiet and relaxing sleep at night. We've already decided that we'll visit Intercourse in the near future and will definitely stay at The Inn again.

Earlier this week, I was browsing through old photographs and came across these sunset shots. These were taken during my last week in Rome; it was the end of my study abroad school-year. As a study abroad student in Italy, my life was truly enriched experiencing and witnessing the Italian way-of-life. Rome is a bustling city yet still embodies the true and vibrant Italian charm. All photos below were taken at the Villa Borghese overlooking Piazza del Popolo.

I just watered my vegetable garden and I'm quite happy they're turning out healthy and robust. I wish I could say the same with my flowers. I really think that I need to revamp the whole front flower garden, but I simply don't have much time to do that these days. Garden Update

Leaving work early yesterday was fun. I miss those days when I had more time outside of work, but these days, it's just impossible. When I got home, I took my camera to take photos of my corner vegetable garden. I was so happy to see that the tomatoes are really thriving. The squash, thai pepper, bell pepper and basil are growing well too.

A Cat In Waiting

Do you see that cat? He seems to be waiting for "something." When I took this photo, I thought he was waiting for the couple, who's playfully looking at him, to pass through so he can get to where he's going, but he stayed in that position for a good amount of time.

Do you sometimes feel like you're waiting for something but you don't know what? Or sometimes, you're waiting for someone or some event that would make you smile to get through a tough day, a hint of hope when you're desperate, a dash of pouring rain to ease the hot temperatures and humidity, a breathe of fresh air when you're stuffed like sardines in a crowded train, a dollar because you're a dollar short to ride the train home, a call for interview when you're looking for a job, or simply - a break from a rut.

Well, I am waiting and it feels like forever. The problem is, I can't patiently sit still like that cat in waiting.
